How to choose
Budapest sells its river before anything else. Eleven of the 24 experiences we list are Danube boats, and the seven cheapest listings on the page are all of them: an hour on a paddle steamer with Tokaj at EUR 11, a one-hour sunset or night run with an audio guide at EUR 12, a 50-minute night cruise with rooftop seats you bring your own drinks to at EUR 15, 90 minutes of unlimited prosecco at EUR 21.25. Four of the eleven advertise a night, sunset or candlelit departure. The four dinner cruises sit higher, EUR 49 to EUR 110, and the cheapest of those is the most reviewed listing here by a distance: 7,562 reviews at 4.7. Prices across the page run from that EUR 11 boat to a four-hour private tour at EUR 422.40, and the median duration is just under two hours.
Away from the water the list stays home. Only two of the 24 leave the city: a five-hour countryside wine and food trip with a meal and hotel pickup at EUR 86, and a twelve-and-a-half-hour run to Bratislava and Vienna at EUR 189. Three listings are built on Parliament, at EUR 39.90 for a 45-minute audio-guided visit, EUR 65 for a four-hour city tour and EUR 89 for a combined Parliament and basilica ticket. Otherwise sightseeing rolls: a private tuktuk, an e-scooter group rated 5.0 from 1,807 reviews, a hop-on hop-off bus. No stand-alone walking tour is offered, and no title mentions the Jewish Quarter. The two weakest ratings belong to the listings selling access rather than a guide: that bus at 3.6, and the Szechenyi bath ticket at 3.8.
Two listings sell the Szechenyi baths: a EUR 55 admission ticket and a EUR 69 beer spa with a Szechenyi add-on. The bath recommends buying through its own official website in advance, and notes that a standard day ticket and a timed fast-track ticket have different arrival arrangements, so check which one you are being sold. Ordinary tourist admission is for ages 14 and over. Bring swimwear, a towel and slippers.
Twenty-one of the 24 listings cancel free, and the three that do not are exactly the three that include a Parliament visit, so those are the bookings a change of plan will cost you. Getting about, a single BKK ticket generally covers one uninterrupted journey and needs validating; changing between metro lines is allowed on it, most other changes are not, and a travelcard is worth considering over several journeys.

The boats are the cheapest things on the page: seven of the eleven cost EUR 25 or less, starting at EUR 11 for an hour on a paddle steamer, rated 4.6 from 447 reviews. What separates them is drinks, seating and the hour of departure rather than the stretch of river. If you want dinner on board, the four dinner cruises run EUR 49 to EUR 110, and the EUR 49 one carries 7,562 reviews at 4.7. All eleven cancel free.
No. The two listings we carry sell admission rather than guiding, at EUR 55 for a bath ticket and EUR 69 for a beer spa with a Szechenyi add-on, and the bath recommends buying through its own official website in advance. That EUR 55 ticket is the second-lowest rated listing on this page, at 3.8 from 2,341 reviews. Note that ordinary tourist admission is for ages 14 and over, with under-14 entry only as an exceptional pre-approved medical arrangement, so families with younger children should plan something else.
Only two of the 24 listings leave the city. One is a five-hour countryside wine and food tour with a meal and hotel pickup at EUR 86, rated 4.9 from 1,571 reviews; the other is a twelve-and-a-half-hour guided day taking in Bratislava and Vienna at EUR 189, also rated 4.9 but from just 23 reviews. Both cancel free. Everything else we list stays inside Budapest, and almost half of it stays on the river.
