How to choose
Graz has no mid-priced guided walk. Seven of the 24 tours on this page are self-guided — audio routes, a scavenger hunt, a puzzle rally, a phone game and one bike loop with GPS — and they cost between €5 and €21.90. Every tour that comes with a guide starts at €99, for sixty to ninety minutes with a local; the next cheapest is €178.60, the median across those eleven is €210, and the dearest is a two-hour walk at €399. Between €21.90 and €99 there is nothing but the two airport transfers, €71 in each direction. Ten listings cost €21.90 or less, twelve cost €99 or more, and the top of the page is a €545 sightseeing flight.
Almost nothing here sells entry. Only two listings are tickets: the Kunsthaus at €13 and a Universalmuseum Joanneum pass at €20, whose 48 hours make it the longest item on a page where the median length is two hours. Eggenberg Palace, the Styrian Armoury, the cathedral and the Landhaus appear in no title. Five titles name the old town and three name Schlossberg, two of those including the funicular at €198.60 and €230. Two tours take the Nazi period as their subject, at €5.99 self-guided and €196.40 with a guide and the Graz Museum. Nothing leaves the city, nothing goes out on the Mur, and no title names food or wine. The 24 carry 108 reviews between them; nine have none, and the most reviewed is that €13 ticket, rated 3.2.
Decide first whether you are buying a route or a person. The Schlossberg and old town audio route costs €5.99 and the puzzle rally €21.90, while the cheapest listing with a guide in it is €99 and most sit above €200. Those eleven guided tours hold 23 reviews between them and four have none, so the premium buys the guide rather than a well-tested product.
Three of Graz's set pieces keep their own calendars and no tour here covers them. The Styrian Armoury's access changes by season and needs a guided visit through much of winter, with the regular English tour at 12:30; confirm the date, language and admission before fixing a morning. Eggenberg's State Rooms are guided-only and normally spring to autumn, the gardens on a separate year-round calendar. The mausoleum runs April to October, Tuesday to Sunday, with winter visits arranged ahead through the Diocesan Museum.

Only if you want the guide. Eleven of the 24 listings include one: they start at €99 for sixty to ninety minutes with a local, run to a median of €210 and top out at €399. The seven self-guided audio, game and bike routes cover the same old town ground for €5 to €21.90, and nothing on the page is priced in between. The eleven guided tours carry 23 reviews in total, and four of them have none.
Not from this page: Eggenberg appears in none of the 24 titles. The State Rooms can be seen only on a guided tour, and that normally operates in the spring-to-autumn season, while the gardens keep a separate year-round calendar. Choose the tour first and fit selected Alte Galerie rooms around it.
Three listings name Schlossberg. Two are private tours that include the funicular, at €198.60 for two to three hours and €230 for three; the third is the €5.99 self-guided audio route pairing Schlossberg with the old town. The Clock Tower belongs to the Schlossberg walk itself and you pick your own ascent and descent, so what the paid versions add is the guide and the ride. The €230 one is also one of only two listings here that does not offer free cancellation.
