How to choose
Twenty-two of the 24 experiences we list for Kraków spend the day outside it. Thirteen name Auschwitz-Birkenau: ten go there alone, from €19.20 to €259.13, and three pair it with the Wieliczka salt mine across 10 to 12 hours at €97 to €125. Four more sell the salt mine by itself, four to five hours at €20.81 to €69, and five run south to Zakopane and the Tatras for eight to twelve hours. That is the entire page but for two listings. The median duration across the 24 is seven hours, prices run from €18.43 to €259.13, twelve of the 24 cost €30 or less, and 23 of them cancel free.
What is missing is Kraków itself. Only two listings stay in the city: a 90-minute guided visit to Schindler's Enamel Factory at €29.25, rated 4.0 from 93 reviews, and a three-hour food tasting walk at €97, rated 4.9 from 1,115. Nothing here is built on the main market square, Wawel, St Mary's or the Kazimierz synagogues, which is most of what a first visit is made of. Ratings split by direction as well: all five Zakopane trips sit at 4.8 or 4.9, and the most-reviewed listing on the page, with 13,136 reviews, is one of them, while the two weakest are an Auschwitz coach at 3.4 and that factory tour at 4.0.
Because the list leaves town, the centre is yours to arrange. Start with Wawel: the castle sells different exhibitions with their own entry limits and ticket choices, and being on the hill does not grant the interiors, so choose your route before booking. The cathedral has its own visitor regulations and ticketing, separate from the castle. Collegium Maius runs a main visit and a longer extended one; set route, language and time on the university's booking page.
St Mary's separates tourist access from the prayer entrance, Sunday sightseeing starts later than on ordinary weekdays, and the tower has its own rules. Remuh's synagogue and cemetery follow the Jewish community calendar: no sightseeing on Saturdays or Jewish holidays, shorter hours on Fridays. Schindler factory tickets come from the Museum of Kraków's own page, and a personal online ticket requires the visitor's original ID; the 90-minute guided listing is the only one of the 24 without free cancellation.

Thirteen of the 24 listings include Auschwitz-Birkenau. Ten go there and nowhere else, eight of them six and a half to seven hours, from €19.20 for a small-van tour with guide and ticket to €259.13 for a private guided day. Three more add the Wieliczka salt mine and stretch to 10 to 12 hours at €97 to €125. Ratings across the thirteen run from 3.4 to 5.0, so read the review counts rather than the price; all thirteen cancel free.
Eight to twelve hours in the five listings we carry, at €18.43 to €39.82, and the two cheapest experiences on the whole Kraków page are Zakopane trips. As a group they are the best rated here: all five sit at 4.8 or 4.9, and one holds 13,136 reviews, more than any other listing we show for the city. The titles name a cable car, thermal baths and, in one case, a cheese and vodka stop, so check which of those the price covers.
Not in this list. Only two of the 24 stay inside the city: the 90-minute Schindler's Factory tour at €29.25, rated 4.0 from 93 reviews, and a three-hour food tasting walk at €97, rated 4.9 from 1,115. For the old town you book direct, and the ticketing is not uniform: Wawel sells separate exhibitions with entry limits, the cathedral is ticketed on its own terms, and St Mary's sightseeing starts later on Sundays.
