Prices are starting prices in EUR and may vary by date, group size and option. Check availability and full terms on Viator before booking.

Search covers the whole collection for this city, not just the experiences shown. Price, length and sorting are applied before the list is built; when a search is running, price and length are applied to the results on this page. The featured order may reflect reviews, popularity, bookings and payments from operators.

How to choose

Seventeen of the 23 tours leave the city

Málaga sells the province more than the city. Seventeen of the 23 experiences we list begin outside the centre or spend the day travelling away from it, and the largest single cluster is the Caminito del Rey, with five listings. Two are three hours at the walkway itself, at €28.90 and €39; the other three add a coach from Málaga or the Costa del Sol and run seven to nine hours at €67, €68 and €75. Three more cross to Granada for the Alhambra at €130, €135 and €153, and two go to Tangier: a 15-hour day at €148.50, rated 3.3 from 690 reviews and the lowest-rated listing here, and a private version at €233.50. The median listing lasts three and a half hours and costs €67.

The six that stay in the city are a mixed handful. One of them, three hours at €32 and rated 4.4 from 653 reviews, takes in the cathedral, the Alcazaba and the Roman theatre, and it is the only guided walk through the old town's monuments. No title on this page names Picasso, Gibralfaro, the Carmen Thyssen collection or the Pompidou. The rest are a €19.70 private tuk-tuk, a 90-minute hammam session at €69, two food walks, one of them carrying 2,470 reviews at €62.10, and an hour's catamaran in the bay at €14 — the cheapest thing here and, at 3.9, the weakest of the six water listings. The other five on the water leave from Benalmádena or the cliffs near Nerja.

What to know before you book in Málaga

The single monument tour bundles three sights that keep their own doors. The Alcazaba and Gibralfaro have separate entrances and seasonal opening hours, with admission ending before the sites close, and the city council sells a combined ticket that does not remove the journey between them. The Roman theatre can be seen from the street; it is the visitor route inside, normally open Tuesday to Sunday, that needs the opening time.

The museums nobody guides here are the ones to arrange yourself. Museo Picasso Málaga has seasonal closing times and is a different institution from the Casa Natal birthplace museum, so check which one your ticket is for. Carmen Thyssen normally opens Tuesday to Sunday, and the Pompidou normally closes on Tuesdays with holiday exceptions. Twenty-two of the 23 listings cancel free; the exception is the €130 Alhambra day.

Quick answers

Is the Caminito del Rey worth booking as a tour from Málaga?

Five of the 23 listings go there, and what separates them is transport rather than the walkway. Two are three-hour guided visits at the gorge itself, at €28.90 and €39, so you reach it under your own steam. The other three include a coach from Málaga or the Costa del Sol and take seven to nine hours for €67, €68 and €75. The strongest of those three is rated 4.8 from 849 reviews and the weakest 4.1 from 445, so the ratings are worth reading before the price.

Is there a tour of the Picasso museum in Málaga?

Not on this page: none of the 23 listings names Picasso. There are two separate institutions, the main collection and the Casa Natal birthplace museum, and they are booked individually rather than together. The main collection has seasonal closing times, so pick an entry that fits the rest of your day. The nearest thing we sell is the €32 three-hour walk, which covers the cathedral, the Alcazaba and the Roman theatre instead.

Do the dolphin and boat trips leave from Málaga itself?

Mostly not. Six of the 23 listings are on the water and five name a starting point elsewhere: two dolphin sailings from Benalmádena at €20 and €30, a private boat there at €170, and two kayak and snorkel trips on the Maro-Cerro Gordo cliffs near Nerja at €23 and €25. Only the one-hour catamaran at €14 sails the bay at Málaga, and at 3.9 from 185 reviews it is the lowest rated of the six.
