Finding experiences in Paris…

Prices are starting prices in EUR and may vary by date, group size and option. Check availability and full terms on Viator before booking.

Search covers the whole collection for this city, not just the experiences shown. Price, length and sorting are applied before the list is built; when a search is running, price and length are applied to the results on this page. The featured order may reflect reviews, popularity, bookings and payments from operators.

How to choose

In Paris, the most common tour is a boat

Ten of the 24 experiences we list for Paris are Seine cruises — dinner cruises, sightseeing cruises, cruise-and-monument combinations. Five are food or wine, five leave the city for the day (Versailles is the usual destination), two run in the evening, and the median length is two and a half hours.

So "a tour in Paris" often means an hour or two on the river rather than a guided visit. That is worth knowing before you compare prices: a cruise and a Louvre guide are not competing for the same part of your day.

What to know before you book in Paris

The Louvre charges €22 for visitors from the European Economic Area and €32 for everyone else, and under-18s go free — so a tour's price difference over the ticket is the guide, not the door.

Notre-Dame is free to enter, and reserving a free time slot on the cathedral's own website or app shortens the wait. Sainte-Chapelle needs a timed ticket and every visitor passes a security check at the Palais entrance.

Quick answers

Is a Seine cruise worth booking in advance?

For an ordinary sightseeing cruise, rarely — departures are frequent. Dinner cruises and evening departures do sell out, and those are the ones worth holding in advance.

Do I need a guided tour for the Louvre?

Not for entry. A timed official ticket is enough. A guided tour is worth it if you want a route through the collection rather than a map, because the building is large enough to lose an afternoon in.

Can I see Versailles in half a day?

The day trips in our list are full-day for a reason: the journey each way plus the palace and gardens does not compress well. Half a day covers the palace only, and usually in a queue.
