How to choose

Six tours circle one palace, seven leave town

Seville's list divides between one palace and the road out of town. Six of the 24 experiences we list name the Alcázar: four combine it with the cathedral, at €53.95 to €82 for two and a half to three and a half hours, and two sell the palace alone — 90 minutes before opening hours at €71, or two hours in a small group at €44. Seven more leave the city for nine to thirteen hours. Three reach the Alhambra in Granada, at €89.90, €169 and €505 for a private version; three take in Córdoba; two run to Ronda and the white villages, with one thirteen-hour trip counted in both. The median length across all 24 listings is three and a half hours.

The short half of the page is built for the evening. Four listings are flamenco: three are the performance alone, an hour to 75 minutes at €25, €29 and €49, and the fourth wraps a show around tapas and wine for three to four hours at €99. Three more are built on eating — a €67 tapas and history walk, a €69 food tour carrying 5,557 reviews, more than anything else here, and a €75 paella class through the Triana market, one of two items rated 5.0. Two boats on the Guadalquivir, at €15 and €25, are the cheapest things we carry. Nothing on this page visits Casa de Pilatos, Las Dueñas, the Setas walkway or Plaza de España, and apart from a €19.70 private tuk-tuk and a shore excursion sold to Cádiz cruise passengers, nothing here is simply a walk round the centre.

What to know before you book in Seville

Both headline monuments sell their own tickets. The Real Alcázar's visitor page leads to the official sale, and its visiting hours vary by season, so settle the ticket first and build the palace day around the slot you get. The general cathedral visit already includes the Giralda; follow the entrance time and visiting sequence it states, and note that Sunday sightseeing hours differ from the weekday pattern.

Eighteen of the 24 listings cancel free. The six that do not are exactly the ones holding an Alcázar or Alhambra entry — four Alcázar tours and two Granada days — so those are the bookings to be certain about. Two other ticketed sights have no tour here at all: Las Dueñas has its own ticket, seasonal hours and a last admission before closing, and the raised route at the Setas needs a ticket from its website or ticket office.

Quick answers

Is an Alcázar tour worth it, or should I just buy a ticket?

The palace sells its own tickets through its visitor page, so entry is something you can arrange yourself; check the season's hours before fixing the rest of the day. What the six Alcázar listings add is a guide and a held start time, from €44 to €82. The two palace-only options are a two-hour small-group visit at €44 and a 90-minute one before opening hours at €71. Four of those six carry no free cancellation, so be sure of your dates.

How long is a day trip to Granada or Córdoba from Seville?

Longer than most people allow. The three Alhambra trips run ten to thirteen hours at €89.90, €169 and €505 for the private one, and the €89.90 version is the lowest-rated listing on this page, 4.1 from 1,222 reviews. Córdoba appears in three trips of nine to thirteen hours, one of which also stops at a white village and Ronda. Nothing here gets you out and back in half a day.

Which flamenco show should I book in Seville?

Four listings cover flamenco, and all four cancel free. Three are the show by itself, rated 4.7 to 4.8: Teatro Flamenco Sevilla at €25 for an hour, the Museo del Baile Flamenco at €29 for an hour, and Tablao El Arenal at €49 for 75 minutes with a drink. The fourth is an evening rather than a performance — three to four hours with tapas and wine at €99, rated 4.9 from 1,814 reviews.
