How to choose
Strasbourg's page is mostly not about Strasbourg. Seventeen of the 24 tours spend their day outside the city, and they pull the median listing across the page to seven and a quarter hours. Alsace absorbs most of them: six titles name Colmar, four sell the Wine Route or a tasting and a fifth a Grand Cru day, and three are Christmas market days, which ties them to one season. Three cross into Germany instead, at €124 for Freiburg and the Black Forest, €165 for Baden-Baden and the Black Forest, and €200 for Heidelberg and Baden-Baden. One goes to the Struthof concentration camp memorial, four and a half hours at €220, the only listing here that is neither sightseeing nor tasting.
The seven that stay in Strasbourg are short and cheap: two hours at the median, and six of them cost €79 or less. They run from a two-hour history walk at €19.24 and a €30 two-hour walk with a local guide to a €39 bike tour, a €60 Segway tour, a €40 hour with a local and a €79 food tour. Attention sits on a few: the food tour with 791 reviews, the €170 Colmar and castle small group with 789, and the Segway with 698 hold 2,278 of the 3,609 reviews on this page, while eleven listings carry fewer than thirty and one has none. Private tours occupy the top of the range, €215 to €750. Nothing here goes out on the water, and not one title mentions a museum.
Not one of the 24 titles mentions a museum, so the indoor half of Strasbourg is arranged with the museums themselves. The Œuvre Notre-Dame stands beside the cathedral and has its own visitor entry; seeing its collection is a separate matter from worship or sightseeing inside the cathedral. What the tours on this page sell is a guide and, on the day trips, the driving.
Closing days decide the order of a short stay. The Œuvre Notre-Dame and the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum normally close Mondays, the Decorative Arts Museum normally closes Tuesdays, and weekday lunch breaks affect access too, so check the official calendar against your dates. Palais Rohan holds three separate collections rather than one visit. Two listings refuse free cancellation, both private tours, at €215 and €390; the other 22 allow it.

Six of the 24 listings name Colmar, and four of those are shared departures at €120 to €170 running seven and a half to ten and a half hours. The most reviewed is a €170 small group to Colmar, a medieval village and a castle, rated 4.8 from 789 reviews; the €125 day that adds Haut-Koenigsbourg, Riquewihr and Kaysersberg runs ten and a half hours and is rated 4.7 from 186. The private equivalents cost €390 and €450. Whichever you choose, the day is gone: the 17 tours that leave the city run eight hours at the median.
The Œuvre Notre-Dame and the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum normally close on Mondays, while the Decorative Arts Museum in Palais Rohan normally closes on Tuesdays. Weekday lunch breaks also affect access, so check the official calendar for your actual dates, and look at the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum's current exhibitions as well, since extra exhibitions may need a longer visit. Nothing on this page depends on those hours: the seven tours that stay in the city are walks, a bike tour, a Segway tour and a food tour, two hours at the median.
No tour among the 24 is sold on the cathedral, so there is no guided admission here to compare. The Œuvre Notre-Dame next door is a museum with its own visitor entry, and its collection visit is separate from worship or sightseeing inside the cathedral, so treat them as two decisions. If you want a guide to the centre rather than a ticket, the cheapest are a two-hour history walk at €19.24 and a €30 two-hour walk with a local guide, both rated 4.8.
