How to choose
Verona's list is led by the table rather than the amphitheatre. Eleven of the 21 experiences we list here name a food, a wine or a drink in the title. Three are pasta and tiramisu cooking classes of three to three and a half hours at €64, €69 and €69, rated 5, 5 and 4.9, and between them they hold 2,431 of the 6,475 reviews on this page. Three more are walking tours built around a full meal, €82 to €102, each rated 4.9. Four sell a tasting by itself, from ninety minutes with a panorama at €45 to a five-hour Valpolicella day with two wineries and lunch at €208. The median across the 21 is three hours and €69.
The amphitheatre itself carries only two listings. One is a 45-minute skip-the-line visit at €39; the other, €49.56 for two and a half to three hours, adds the cable car and optional Juliet tickets. A third title borrows the word Arena for a cooking course. Six listings leave the city and they go to two places only: Lake Garda with Sirmione and Lazise, five to seven and a half hours at €89.99 to €129, and the Valpolicella. The sights our own three-day route is built on appear in no title at all — not Castelvecchio, San Zeno, Sant'Anastasia, the cathedral, the Roman Theatre and its Archaeological Museum, or Giardino Giusti. No title sells a performance.
Daytime Arena sightseeing and performances are separate visits, so neither Arena listing here puts you in a seat for a show. The amphitheatre also hosts stage installations and events that can change the visitor route, so check the sightseeing calendar against your date before paying €39 for the guided 45 minutes rather than going in on your own.
The stops no tour covers keep their own calendars. Check Castelvecchio's visitor timetable and last admission, and note that the bridge walk sits outside the ticketed museum rooms. San Zeno, Sant'Anastasia and the cathedral run sightseeing sessions distinct from worship, and Giardino Giusti has seasonal hours with a last-entry cutoff. Castel San Pietro's terrace is public, reached on foot or by funicular. All 21 listings allow free cancellation.

Two of the 21 listings are built on the amphitheatre. One is a 45-minute skip-the-line visit at €39, rated 4.6 from 240 reviews; the other runs two and a half to three hours at €49.56 and adds the cable car and optional Juliet tickets, rated 4.8 from 417. Daytime sightseeing and performances are separate visits, so neither includes a show. Stage installations and events can change the visitor route, so check the sightseeing calendar against your date.
Two listings mention it, and neither is a guided tour of the house. One is an €8 fast-track entry to the courtyard and balcony lasting 45 to 60 minutes, the cheapest item on this page and the lowest rated, 3.2 from 17 reviews. The other offers Juliet tickets as an option on the €49.56 Arena and cable car tour. No walking tour of the centre here names it.
Six listings leave the city. Three go to Lake Garda: a seven-and-a-half-hour Sirmione day with a cruise at €129, rated 4.6 from 413 reviews; a Sirmione and Lazise day at the same price and length with only four reviews behind it; and a five-hour version with a boat and a spritz tasting at €89.99, rated 4.8 from 235. The three Valpolicella trips are shorter, four to five hours at €94.50, €125 and €208, and all three are rated 4.9.
