How to choose
Wartime memory sets the shape of this page. Ten of the 24 experiences we list for Warsaw name a wartime site or subject, and six of those ten leave the city. Three go to Treblinka: four to five hours at €175, six hours private at €174.50, or thirteen hours paired with Wolf's Lair at €290. Wolf's Lair on its own takes eleven to thirteen hours at €324.50, and two listings reach Auschwitz-Birkenau, twelve hours by car at €235 or sixteen hours by fast train with Kraków attached at €165. Add a Kraków and Wieliczka salt mine day at €390 and seven listings leave town altogether, five of them running eleven hours or longer. Those seven are also the seven dearest things on the page.
What stays in the city is a smaller spread than that half suggests. Six listings are general sightseeing, from a €21.99 Old Town walk and two three-hour guided tours at €50 up to a private three-hour tour at €350. Five are food and drink, €38.80 to €77.32, and they are the only group in which every listing rates 4.9 or better. One goes on the Vistula, fifty to sixty minutes at €17.73, and one is a Chopin concert at €22.46. No title here names the Royal Castle, Wilanów, the Palace of Culture, the Łazienki gardens or the Warsaw Rising Museum, and POLIN appears in a single title. The median tour runs three hours, prices span €16 to €390, and 23 of the 24 cancel free.
The museums this page largely skips are the ones that need planning. POLIN normally closes on Tuesdays and ends entry to the Core Exhibition two hours before closing, so book the correct exhibition ticket and keep the whole afternoon for it. The Warsaw Rising Museum also normally closes on Tuesdays; check its current visiting calendar and admission before you settle the order of your days.
The National Museum normally closes on Mondays and publishes separate information for its collection galleries and its temporary exhibitions, so check which admission you actually need. The Łazienki gardens keep their own opening hours and permitted paths, and the museum buildings inside them sell separate tickets on separate schedules, so a garden afternoon needs no guide. Twenty-three listings cancel free; the €390 Kraków day is the one that does not.

Two of the 24 listings go there: twelve hours by car at €235, rated 4.9 from 93 reviews, and a sixteen-hour fast-train day that adds Kraków at €165, rated 4.5 from 306. Either one takes the whole day, and much of the longer one is travelling. If you want a wartime visit closer to Warsaw, two of the three Treblinka listings run four to six hours, from €174.50. All four cancel free.
The two cheapest guided walks both last two and a half hours: a Second World War walk at €16, rated 4.9 from 149 reviews, and an Old Town walk at €21.99, rated 4.7 from 460. Against those, the dearest city tour here is three hours for €350 and carries ten reviews, while the €390 Kraków day has four, so price and evidence run in opposite directions at the top of this page. Museum admission is a separate matter: POLIN, the Warsaw Rising Museum and the National Museum each sell their own tickets and each has a weekday closure.
Five of the 24 listings are food and drink, and as a group they rate highest here: walking food tours at €57.24, €69 and €77.32, a pierogi cooking class with liqueur tasting at €63.84, and a vodka tour at €38.80, none below 4.9. The cooking class holds 643 reviews, more than any other listing we show for Warsaw. All five last between two and four hours, around the three-hour median for the page, and all five cancel free.
