Questions
Quick answers
Do I need to book the Sagrada Família and Park Güell in advance?
Yes. Both use timed tickets bought online on their official websites, and good slots fill up days ahead in busy months.
Is Barcelona walkable?
The old city and the Eixample are easy on foot. This plan uses a taxi, the metro or the cable car for the climbs to Park Güell and Montjuïc.
Where should I stay for this plan?
The Eixample around Passeig de Gràcia, or El Born, keeps the first two days walkable and puts you close to the metro.
How much walking is this itinerary?
Between sights it comes to roughly 1 to 3 km a day in a straight line, with a taxi or the cable car for the hills.

3 days in Barcelona
Barcelona's sights fall into clear areas, so each day stays in one of them: day one is Gaudí, from the Sagrada Família and Park Güell to the houses of Passeig de Gràcia; day two walks the old city from La Rambla through the Gothic Quarter to El Born; day three climbs Montjuïc and ends on the beach. Book the Sagrada Família and Park Güell before you go.
