Questions
Quick answers
Where should I stay?
The south city centre suits Trinity and the galleries. The Liberties is closer to the medieval quarter and Guinness; check transport to Kilmainham for an early tour booking.
The days these rules belong to
3 days in Dublin
Begin around Trinity, Grafton Street and the galleries near Merrion Square. Use a separate day for the cathedrals and medieval-history museum before walking to Temple Bar and the river. The third day stays west of the centre, with Kilmainham Gaol, IMMA and the Guinness Storehouse. Arrange the order around tickets and museum calendars, allowing three full sightseeing days.
