Questions
Quick answers
How much walking is this itinerary?
Days one and two are each under 3 km in a straight line between sights, in heat and humidity, so start early and use the covered walkways and the air-conditioned malls; day three is done by train and taxi apart from the 272 steps at Batu Caves.

3 days in Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur's sights sit in three clusters a short ride apart, so each day takes one: day one starts at the Petronas Towers, crosses the Saloma bridge to the wooden houses of Kampung Baru, walks the canopy in the KL Forest Eco Park and ends with the hawker stalls of Jalan Alor; day two walks the old centre from Merdeka Square and Masjid Jamek through Central Market and Chinatown to the National Mosque, the Islamic Arts Museum and the Perdana gardens; day three takes the train to Batu Caves, eats in Brickfields and climbs to the Thean Hou Temple for the view at sunset. The Petronas Towers' Skybridge is closed on most Mondays, so put day one elsewhere in the week.
