- Use the National Museum at Brynjulf Bulls plass for this visit. Check its current opening calendar and exhibitions; do not navigate to the former National Gallery building.Source: National Museum · checked Sep 2026
- MUNCH’s visitor address is in Bjørvika. Check the museum’s hours, ticket choices and gallery information when booking; exhibitions and individual displays can change.Source: MUNCH · checked Sep 2026
Bygdøy is one day of its own
- Norsk Folkemuseum has shorter winter hours and a seasonal Monday closure. Historic interiors and activities vary through the year. Visit it first and check that the later museums still fit their closing times.Source: Norsk Folkemuseum · checked Sep 2026

Questions
Quick answers
Is the Opera House roof always accessible?
No. Weather and operating conditions can restrict access. Enjoy the public exterior and waterfront if the roof is closed.
The days these rules belong to
3 days in Oslo
Keep Bygdøy’s museums together instead of crossing back and forth across the city. The National Museum anchors the central day, and MUNCH belongs beside the Opera House on a different afternoon. On the Bygdøy day, visit the open-air museum first while it is light and its buildings are open, then continue to Kon-Tiki and Fram. Winter hours are tighter: check both maritime museums’ closing times and omit Kon-Tiki if needed. The Viking Ship Museum is not part of this route.
