How to choose
Lisbon's shelf points out of town. Fourteen of the 23 experiences we list leave the city, and twelve of those go to Sintra: nine name Pena Palace, seven Quinta da Regaleira, six Cascais, four Cabo da Roca. They run five to ten hours and cost from €35 to €155. The three cheapest are full-day coach trips of eight and a half to nine and a half hours at €35 or €35.20, and only one of those states that all tickets are included. Three Sintra listings are private: €75 for a half day, €148.61 and €155 for full ones. The last two out-of-town trips are Fátima, Nazaré and Óbidos at €65, and a Lisbon-to-Porto run with up to four stops at €212.50, the dearest item here.
The nine listings that stay in Lisbon all start at four hours or less, and five of them are rides rather than walks: four private tuk-tuks and one private guided electric tour, from €14 for an hour to €90 for four hours with a local. Two are food and wine tours, €66 for three hours and €104 for three and a half; two are two-hour sunset sails on the Tagus at €45 and €55. The absences matter as much: nothing here is a walking tour, a fado evening, or a guided entry to Jerónimos, Belém Tower, São Jorge Castle or the Gulbenkian. Median duration across the 23 is five hours, median price €66, and ratings run from 4.7 to 5.0.
Nothing on this page is a ticket to a Lisbon monument, and the two best known are shut on Mondays. The Jerónimos Monastery cloister opens Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 to 17:30 with last entry at 17:00, and the church itself is free to visit. Belém Tower reopened on 27 May 2026 after conservation work and now admits visitors by timed slot, Tuesday to Sunday 9:00 to 17:30.
São Jorge Castle opens every day, 9:00 to 21:00 from March to October and 9:00 to 18:00 from November to February, and the Gulbenkian runs 10:00 to 18:00, until 21:00 on Saturdays, closed Tuesdays. The hills are the honest argument for a paid ride: only the Graça funicular is back, since 30 April 2026. All 23 listings cancel free.

Twelve of the 23 experiences we list go to Sintra, so it is the one trip this page really sells. Group coach days start at €35 for eight and a half to nine and a half hours, usually pairing Pena Palace with Quinta da Regaleira, Cascais or Cabo da Roca, while private versions run €75 to €155. Only one listing, at €35.20, states that all tickets are included, so assume palace admission is extra unless the product says otherwise. Three shorter options run five to five and a half hours at €75 to €90.
No, and none of our 23 listings offers one: not a single tour on this page is a guided entry to either. The monastery church is free to visit, and its cloister opens Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 to 17:30, with last entry at 17:00. Belém Tower, which reopened on 27 May 2026 after conservation work, is open Tuesday to Sunday 9:00 to 17:30 and admits visitors by timed slot. Both are closed on Mondays, so keep Belém off a Monday.
Only the Graça funicular, which reopened on 30 April 2026. The Glória, Bica and Lavra funiculars and the Santa Justa lift were all still out of service in September 2026, with no reopening date given. That is part of why five of the nine city listings here are private rides rather than walks, from €14 for an hour to €90 for four. If you use trams and buses instead, take care at crowded stops, where thieves use distraction techniques and often work in teams.
