How to choose
Eight of the 24 experiences we list for Vancouver depart by boat and two more by seaplane. The water block runs from a 60-minute harbour circuit and a 90-minute narrated cruise, both €47.78, through a three-hour zodiac to Granite Falls at €88.55 and a two-hour adults-only yacht at €101.29, up to two five-hour whale-watching trips at €139.67 and €163.88. The seaplanes are a 30-minute panorama flight at €120.40 and the dearest item on the page, a €464.81 day trip to Victoria. The costlier whale watch is the most-reviewed listing here by a wide margin, 5,608 reviews at 4.9, and the median length across all 24 is four and a half hours.
After the water, the weight sits on the North Shore: five listings cover Capilano and Grouse Mountain, two of them plain admission at €43.32 and €52.17, the other three wrapping the same pair, or Capilano with the downtown lookout, into a coach day of €123.75 to €159.87. The seven that spend the day out of town — five to Victoria and Butchart Gardens, two to Whistler, the Whistler pair both ten hours and a euro apart at €133.78 and €134.54 — hold only 8,091 of the 34,712 reviews counted here, so this page does not turn on its day trips. The gaps are worth naming: one walking tour, the 105-minute Gastown route at €24.84, no food or market tour, nothing private, and the Public Market reached only inside a 210-minute bus tour at €52.84. The double-decker hop-on hop-off bus is the weakest listing, 3.7 from 3,410 reviews.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park sells timed-entry tickets direct and cheaper online, and opens every day except 25 December; its own free shuttle leaves Canada Place year-round in about 20 minutes, with proof of admission needed for the ride back. Set that against the three coach listings at €123.75 to €159.87. Grouse Mountain runs 8:45 to 21:00, and Mountain Admission already covers the round-trip Skyride and, in the green season, the lumberjack show, the birds-in-motion demonstration, the grizzly habitat and the Peak chairlift.
Downtown needs no operator. Contactless cards work on buses, SkyTrain and the SeaBus with 90 minutes of transfers; the SeaBus crosses to Lonsdale Quay in 12 minutes every quarter of an hour, and Aquabus ferries reach Granville Island every five minutes between 7:00 and 23:00. Book the aquarium online, where slots are timed, last entry is 15:30 and the doors close at 17:00. All 24 listings carry free cancellation.

No. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park runs its own free shuttle from Canada Place, year-round and about 20 minutes each way, and sells timed tickets that cost less booked online; keep the ticket, because proof of admission is required for the return trip. Most visitors spend two to three hours there. The two admission-only listings on this page are €43.32 for Grouse and €52.17 for Capilano, against €123.75 to €159.87 for the three guided versions that add a coach and, in two of them, the downtown lookout.
Five of the 24 go there. Four are full days of 13 hours or more, at €143.34, €162.45, €163.59 and €189.97, rated 4.8, 4.7, 4.6 and 4.9 on between 456 and 3,129 reviews, so what separates them is the crossing and what is bundled rather than the destination. The fifth flies: six to eight hours by seaplane with Butchart admission at €464.81, rated 4.7 from 225 reviews and the most expensive listing on the page.
Both run five hours. The €139.67 large-zodiac tour rates 4.7 from 1,647 reviews; the €163.88 half-day trip, which includes photos, rates 4.9 from 5,608 and is the most-reviewed product we list for the city. If it is the water rather than the whales you are after, the three-hour Granite Falls zodiac costs €88.55 and rates 4.9 from 907 reviews, and a 90-minute narrated harbour cruise is €47.78. All of them cancel free.
