How to choose
Venice's bookable inventory concentrates hard on one pair of buildings. Eight of the 24 tours we list sell St Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace together, from €71 for a two-to-three-hour version up to €115 for one running four to six hours that adds a gondola and a city walk. The midpoint of all 24 durations is three hours. What the list leaves out matters just as much: not one product is built around the Accademia, Ca' Rezzonico, the Frari or the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, so the art of Dorsoduro and San Polo — a full day in our own itinerary — has to be arranged on your own.
Away from that pair the list splits three ways. Four tours run out to Murano and Burano, the cheapest at €25 for four to five hours. Three are food or cooking sessions, including a pasta and tiramisu class rated 5.0 across 1,652 reviews. Two are Dolomites day trips of nine and ten hours, the only products that leave the lagoon and the least reviewed here, at 145 and 199. Nine titles mention a gondola, but only three sell the ride by itself, at €37 to €83; those three and the three airport transfers hold the six lowest ratings on the page, 3.9 to 4.2, while the next lowest is 4.5. Nine products rate 4.8 or better, and only one of those is a basilica-and-palace combination.
St Mark's Basilica sells different tickets for different parts of its complex, so settle which areas you actually want before comparing prices, then turn up at the entry time you booked. The Doge's Palace sits within the St Mark's Square Museums ticket, and its special guided routes are booked separately. Twenty-two of the 24 listings allow free cancellation; the two that do not are both basilica-and-palace combinations.
Venice's city access fee keeps its own calendar and exemption instructions — check them against your dates rather than assuming the same rules apply every day or every year, and note that an overnight stay inside the municipality has its own exemption arrangements when the scheme is running. Nothing on this page is a water-bus pass; if you buy one, confirm the product covers your route and wait for the ACTV validator's acceptance signal. Ca' Rezzonico publishes a separate visitor calendar.

No. The basilica sells its own tickets, split by part of the complex, and the palace is covered by the St Mark's Square Museums ticket, so both interiors can be arranged directly. Eight of the 24 tours here pair them, from €71 for two to three hours to €115 for four to six, and what that price buys is a guide and a fixed entry time. Special guided routes inside the palace are a separate booking whichever way you go.
Nine of the 24 titles include a gondola, but only three sell the ride on its own: 45 minutes at €37, an hour at €38, and a private 30-to-120-minute ride at €83. Those three carry the lowest ratings on this page, at 3.9, 3.9 and 4.0. Reviewers treat the bundled versions better — the €79 gondola with a private walking tour rates 5.0 over 312 reviews, and five of the eight basilica-and-palace tours include a ride.
Four of the 24 listings go out to the islands: two half-day boats at €25 and €25.54, a five-hour small-group trip at €44, and a 9.5-hour combination at €184.06 that folds in the basilica, the palace and a gondola. The real choice is how much of the day you surrender — four to five hours, or most of it. Going independently means the ACTV water bus, so check the ticket covers your actual route and watch for the validator's acceptance signal before you sail.
