Questions
Quick answers
Is 3 days enough for Miami?
Three days cover South Beach and its Art Deco streets, the downtown museums, Wynwood, Vizcaya, Coconut Grove and Little Havana. A fourth day allows the Everglades (Shark Valley's tram and boardwalks are about an hour's drive), Key Biscayne's beaches and lighthouse, or Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.
How do I get around without a car?
Day one is on foot. Downtown, the free Metromover loops past Bayfront Park and the Freedom Tower, Metrorail runs to Vizcaya's own station, and buses and trains accept contactless bank cards; Wynwood and Little Havana are short taxi rides.
How much walking is this itinerary?
Between sights it comes to roughly 3 km a day in a straight line on the first two days, all on flat ground, and almost none on day three, which uses Metrorail and taxis; Vizcaya's gardens and Wynwood's streets add plenty of strolling.

3 days in Miami
Miami is really two cities across a causeway, so the plan keeps the beach and the mainland apart: day one walks South Beach from Ocean Drive to Lincoln Road and The Bass; day two starts at the Pérez Art Museum and the Freedom Tower downtown and moves north to Wynwood Walls and the Design District; day three heads south to Vizcaya and Coconut Grove and finishes with dinner and music in Little Havana. Vizcaya is closed on Tuesdays and the Pérez museum on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so put days two and three later in the week.
