Book the main interiors
- The Last Supper is a separately reserved visit, even if you also enter Santa Maria delle Grazie. Viewing sessions last 15 minutes and the museum requires arrival 30 minutes before the booked time.Source: Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano · checked Sep 2026
- Choose a Duomo ticket covering the spaces you intend to visit. Terrace access can be by stairs or lift, but the lift reaches the first terrace level; reaching the upper level still involves stairs.Source: Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo · checked Sep 2026
Choose the art day carefully
- Brera uses a chosen visit date and time. Use the museum’s own booking page, and check the coverage of the ticket rather than assuming every Brera institution is one walk-in visit.Source: Pinacoteca di Brera · checked Sep 2026
- The Ambrosiana normally closes on Wednesdays. Its own visitor page recommends about 90 minutes for a full gallery route; check the calendar before pairing it with Brera.Source: Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana · checked Sep 2026

Questions
Quick answers
What if I cannot get a Last Supper ticket?
Keep the church and Corso Magenta walk, then give more time to the castle collections. Do not assume a church visit includes the refectory or that a ticket will be available on arrival.
Does a Duomo terrace ticket include the cathedral?
Ticket products cover different spaces. Read the selected ticket carefully and choose one covering both if you want to follow the full cathedral stop.
Where should I stay?
The centre and Brera suit the first and third days, while Cadorna is useful for the castle and Corso Magenta. The Navigli area works for evenings; check its transport connection to your first morning booking.

3 days in Milan
Keep the Duomo and theatre district together on the first day. Build the second day around your Last Supper reservation, with the castle and park afterward. Give Brera and the Ambrosiana a separate art day before finishing by the canals. Move whole days around museum calendars and available tickets; the route assumes three full sightseeing days.
