Bach, city history, art and the great monument

Use three full days and check the museums’ weekly calendars. On Wednesdays MdbK opens at noon, so place Augustusplatz and the Paulinum exterior before the gallery. The monument day requires transport beyond the centre. Hotel, station and first-stop journeys are additional.

3 days in Leipzig: quick answers

Are Bach’s church and museum one admission?

No. They are separate places with different access arrangements. A church performance is also separate from an ordinary visit.

Which City History Museum address is used?

The Old Town Hall on Markt, for the permanent city-history collection. The organisation’s other buildings are not substitutes for that entrance.

Does the GRASSI stop include all three museums?

No. It selects Applied Arts. Ethnology and musical instruments would require separate time and ticket checks.

Can I walk to the Battle of the Nations monument?

A long walk is possible, but this itinerary budgets public transport so that the monument and park fit comfortably into one day.

What changes on Wednesday?

MdbK opens at noon. Visit Augustusplatz and the Paulinum exterior first, then the gallery and GRASSI using their confirmed afternoon hours.
