Antalya, day by day
Antalya is the capital of the Turkish Riviera, a city of 2.7 million on a limestone shelf above the Mediterranean with a walled Ottoman old town around a Roman harbour, a Roman gate that an emperor rode through, waterfalls that fall into the sea, and the best-preserved Roman theatre in the world an hour's drive away, with the Taurus mountains behind and a beach on either side. Start with three days that walk Kaleiçi, take the classic road to Perge, Aspendos and Side, and climb to the mountain city of Termessos before the waterfalls and the beach, with the prices and hours the ministry and the operators publish for 2026.
