One day, well spent
Old-city mornings. A waterfront finish.
Start in Sultanahmet around the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Choose one interior visit, then walk through Gülhane towards Eminönü for the Spice Bazaar and the water.
Cross Galata Bridge towards Karaköy for a late meal. If you climb towards Galata Tower, leave time for the hill; keep a long Bosphorus cruise for another day.

Karaköy / Galata
For cafés and evenings around the northern end of Galata Bridge. Check the slope and walking access to your hotel.
Kadıköy / Moda
For neighbourhood food stops on the Asian side. Choose it if ferry trips are part of the pleasure, and allow time to reach the old city.
